The Clark School Ambassadors are a group of undergraduate engineering students with a diverse set of experiences at the University of Maryland. The Ambassadors assist with promoting engineering and the Clark School by participating in outreach activities in the high schools and on campus, in campus-wide open house programs, hosting prospective students on campus, and many other activities.

How can you benefit from being an Ambassador?

  • Develop presentation skills
  • Develop leadership skills
  • Chance to impact/serve as a role model to prospective students
  • Dinner at the end of each semester
  • Clark School polo shirt
  • Ambassadors who complete the minimum requirements will earn a $250 scholarship
  • The top 3 Ambassadors will earn an additional $1000 scholarship

What is your time commitment as an Ambassador?

The overall expected time commitment will average 25 hours per semester.  Specific activities include:

  • Friday information sessions
  • Campus recruiting events (e.g., open house events, campus tours, student shadowing experiences)
  • High school visits
  • Ambassador training sessions
  • Monthly Ambassador meetings

Due date: May 1, 2012

Interview Dates

Interviews will take place between May 1 and May 10, 2012.

Applicants will participate in one of several group interview options. Applicants will be contacted to schedule interview dates/times once all application materials are received and reviewed.
