Study Abroad Study Abroad Recommendations for Biological Resources Engineering Students

Most engineering study abroad programs require that students have attained junior standing and have completed their 100 and 200 level basic science courses (CHEM, MATH, PHYS, BSCI), as well as the 100 and 200 level ENES courses (ENES 100, 102, 220).

The Department of Biological Resources Engineering recommends that biological resources engineering students complete the following courses at the University of Maryland.

ENBE 110 - Intro to Biological Resource Eng
ENBE 241 - Copmputer Use in Biores Eng
ENBE 422 - Water Resources Eng
ENME454 - Bio Process Eng
ENME484 - Bio Responses Environ Stimuli
ENBE 485 - Capstone Design I
ENBE 486 - Capstone Design II

Courses that biological resources students may be able to take abroad if the advisor permits.

ENBE 455 - Basic Electronic Design
ENBE 471 - Bio Systems Control
EBBE 456 - Biomed Instrumentation
ENBE 482 - Dynamics of Bio Systems

Courses that biological resources students can take abroad with consultation from their home advisor.

Engineering Science Electives (3 courses)
Biological Sciences Electives (2 courses)
ENBE 453 - Intro to Bio Materials
ECON 200 - Principles of Micro-Economics or ECON 201 - Princ of Macro-Economics
