Northrop Grumman Scholarship
Northrop Grumman's Electronic Systems sector is a world leader in the design, development and manufacture of defense electronics and other sensor related systems. Consisting of 24,000 plus employees, the sector continues to grow and expand the business base. Northrop Grumman's major expertise is found on a variety of sensors in space, air, land, sea and undersea environments. Northrop Grumman is sponsoring several scholarships in amounts up to $5000 with a summer internship opportunity for students who meet the following requirements.
Requirements for the Northrop Grumman Scholarship:
- Students working toward a BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science. Only applications from those majors will be accepted.
- U.S. citizenship (Northrop Grumman is a U.S. government defense contractor and scholarship candidates must be able to meet the requirements to obtain a U.S. government security clearance)
- Junior in Fall 2007 (others may also be considered)
- Minimum overall GPA of 3.2 (or present a faculty recommendation for consideration)
- Preference is given to candidates with financial need, but it is not a requirement to receive the scholarship.
Terms of the scholarship:
- Maintain a minimum overall 3.2 GPA
- Recipients must agree to accept an internship opportunity with Northrop Grumman Electronic Systems, assuming such an opportunity is afforded to them in a timely fashion.

- Letter of application that addresses your interest in the defense industry, a future internship with Northrop Grumman, a discussion of your major/subspeciality interests and career goals, and a statement pertaining to your financial need. Make sure your name is on this page.
Northrop Grumman will select students to be interviewed. Interviews will be held in mid-October.
